Last week, Year 3 were visited by some Neolithic cavemen to build on our Thematic work about the Stone Age. Children experienced life as cave people and learnt about the day to day lives of a hunter-gatherer in 8,000 BC England. Across the trust, children were asked to dress up in Stone Age costumes to become immersed in the historical era. During the experience, the children were shown how to knap flint into tools and use plants in a variety of different ways. The children gained a lot from the day and will use this knowledge in lessons throughout the rest of the year.
