As part of their enrichment sessions the children at Brigstock have been learning the ancient art of paper folding. Origami is often associated with Japanese culture. The goal is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. So far the children have made their own origami planes and boats. After careful folding the children took part in a paper plane flying competition to see who's paper plane travelled the furthest distance. To test the durability of their paper boats the children sailed them under test conditions to ensure that they were sea worthy!
