Meteors have a go at ‘flint’ knapping!

On Friday, Meteors tried their hand at the ancient Stone Age art of flint knapping. Knapping is the method Stone Age people used to make tools and weapons from the flint they found. The children sat in a circle, just as cavemen would have, and knapped their own versions of arrow heads, axe heads, spears and jewellery using soap instead of stone. It was a fun afternoon and the children discovered just how difficult it must have been to survive in Stone Age times.
