Isle of Wight (Day 4)

Day 4: At breakfast this morning, all the talk was about tonight's disco (who would be wearing what, who would be going with whom and what moves would be thrown on the dance floor). After breakfast, it was off to Blackgang Chine Amusement Park for some fun on the rides. It was bright sunshine as we drove through Ventnor, but the cows were lying down and, sure enough, the showers set in soon after we arrived.  The showers couldn't dampen our spirits though, or our passion for ice-cream!  Mr Roberts arrived at lunchtime and got to work photographing as many of us as possible for the website. It was soon our turn on the 'Waterforce' water slide where some of us got absolutely drenched. Back at the hotel, it was time to pack, eat some dinner and then prepare for the disco. Once washed and brushed we arrived to find that the lounge at our hotel was fully decked out with lights and turn-tables. It was Ade's birthday today, so we began our disco with a rousing rendition of Stevie Wonder's 'Happy Birthday To Ya' and chocolate cake before we all seriously started getting our groove on! We threw some impressive shapes and went wild doing the Harlem Shuffle, Gangnam Style! After our hot chocolate, it was time for bed. It's the Monkey and Owl Sanctuary tomorrow morning, then the ferry over the Solent and our coach home. We are all really looking forward to seeing you. We miss you. Year 6. Xxx
