CYP Upper – Museum Day

Today, we are welcoming parents to come in and look around our Cypress Museum, packed full with artefacts created by our students from various eras we have been studying. We have an amazing Egyptian Zone in Juniper Room, Viking Zone in the Year 5 classrooms, the Roman Zone in Year 4 and a very stern Victorian Zone in year 3.

Staff and children have worked amazingly hard and the children are very proud to display their creations. Tour guides have been on hand to show parents around the museum and direct them to the correct zone. Children have also been eagerly waiting in class to show off their thematic work.  This morning, parents were invited to taste food from the Egyptian period , write their name in rhunes, watch volcanoes erupt and make mosaics.

It was lovely to see so many parents and carers around the school this morning, enjoying our tours and talking to their children about the thematic work completed so far this year. The Cypress Museum is open again at 3:15 pm today if you would like to visit. See you there!
