Beulah’s hall was transformed into a mini art gallery today. The gallery was created to showcase the children’s work from their Art Week. There was such a range of artistic techniques on display with everything from a large scale model of a giraffe nestled amongst djembe drums, African masks and exquisite African jewellery to delicate mini-beasts drawn on pebbles, hiding under a carefully crafted oak tree. We had beautiful free painting wall hangings, a seahorse created using different collage materials to add colour and texture, a vibrant Pegasus horse inspired by the works of Andy Warhol and intricate mosaic work depicting creatures from the ocean. Colourful hot air balloons hung from above, waiting to whisk you away on an imaginative journey. The children were very proud of their work and it was lovely to see parents enjoying the show.
