This week we were delighted to present children with Rainbow Awards for achievements across the curriculum. We enjoyed listening alternative traditional fairy tales written by Y2, in one Red Riding Hood was a mean, grumpy little girl and in another the woodcutter was replaced by a very magical wizard. Our eyes were treated to an amazing portrait painted using water colours and embellished with intricate jewels and some very detailed sketching to create Tudor style shields representing the children’s own lives. Green class achieved a whole class Rainbow Award for their amazing ‘Toyshop’ dance although every child worked within a small group to choreograph their own routines. Awards were also given for persistence and independent working. Well done to all of our ‘Rainbows’.
