Pens and pencils were banished from the classroom on Wednesday for the annual Pegasus ‘No Pens Day’. Children across the trust were engaged in a variety of activities, proving that plenty of learning can, in fact, be done without writing.
Year 2 used the opportunity to focus on working as a group to sort pictures and discuss what makes a good friend. In preparation for their trip, they also designed and created their own Hampton Court Palaces using cardboard, kitchen role and gems. In Year 6, the clay came out and they made Greek vases using authentic designs. Elsewhere, children engaged in maths problem solving, autumnal art, sentence sorting activities and practical science experiments.
