Daily phonics with Miss King – today’s sound – ie

Every day, children practise a 20 minute phonics session in year one and reception. This helps them to develop the ability to break words down into sounds and blend them together again. It also helps them to break words down into sounds within their writing.

Your child will need a pen and paper to practise writing out words, using the sound.  Attached are some follow up activities involving reading, writing and spelling.
