We have had another wonderful week of learning at Cypress Upper. The children are really seeing the benefit of planning and reviewing their learning. This means they are now adapting their plans and overcoming any obstacles they have met. Year 6 have been demonstrating this in their science learning this week. They used their capitalising skills to plan and carry out a science experiment to prove that light travels in a straight line. Once they had planned, the children showed they could be reflective by adapting their plans and overcoming obstacles. They managed their time well and produced some fantastic work.
Birch Class Assembly
Thank you to parents and carers who joined us this morning for Birch Class assembly. We were treated to wonderful poetry, acting and singing. I was really impressed with the quality of the children’s art work and their explanation of why they chose particular material. Well done Miss Khatun and Miss Francis on all your hard work. The assembly is now on Birch Class blog if you would like to view their performance again.
Word Wizard
This week’s word wizard was Freda in Sycamore who wrote a fantastic sentence about forensics using the word intricate. Our word this week is “embroiled” so get your sentences in before registration on Monday so I can select our winner.
Gold Accelerated Reader
Congratulations to Sundus, Evie, Haddy and James who achieved their gold certificates this week. A great week for Hazel class.
We wish all our families a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing you for another wonderful week of learning on Monday.
