This morning all of Upper school were captivated by Margaret Bateson-Hill’s storytelling in assembly – a story of snakes and princes and princesses. The look on the faces of children and adults alike was one of complete focus and involvement in the story. What a way to start the day! Margaret was also delighted to see the fantastic art work of a child in Year 6 who has been inspired by her tales of dragons. Margaret has spent the rest of the day working with Year 4 classes on developing descriptive language in their writing. They have learnt to think about description using all of their senses and have made a great start to writing excellent stories. After school Margaret ran a book making workshop for children in Year 4. The children have made some amazing books, as you can see in the photos. Thank you Margaret for inspiring Cypress in all things story!
