We have been so busy this week! We have been using our imagination and intuition to put ourselves through new experiences and exploring possibilities by wondering, ‘What if …?’. We know that our imagination is a powerful thing and all life changing developments and technologies that changed our world have come from an idea, formed by the creator’s imagination. I have read some amazing work this week that has clearly come from some very creative minds. Joe in Birch class (see the gallery) has written the beginning of a book involving dragons and portals… I can’t wait to read it when it is complete.
We have also been thinking about charity and why it is good to help others. We have really enjoyed raising money for Red Nose Day today. Hazel class delivered our first class assembly since we have been at school and it was brilliant. It was full of very interesting information about Red Nose Day. We were also treated to a Hazel class comedy segment. It was a great start to the day! A huge well Hazel class; thanks also to Mr St Aimee, Miss Mitchell and Miss Simadree for helping the class to put together such an entertaining assembly. Thank you also to the parents who attended (virtually!).We have also enjoyed our own Cypress Comedy clubs this afternoon. The jokes and laughter were abundant – a great way to end the week.
Our Cypress Superstars this week are: Elouise and Nikolai (Hawthorn) for some very detailed information texts on red squirrels, Leah (Larch) for mastering some tricky Maths, using her skills in perseverance, Lea and Poppy (Birch) for both receiving their gold accelerated reading award, Joe (Birch) for his wonderfully creative storybook, Rosie, Sam and Mark (Cedar) for their imaginative and humorous letters and Lucy (Cedar) for a beautifully written spell inspired by the three witches from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Well done Dexter, our Word Wizard this week, for using the word ‘industrious’ perfectly in a sentence. Keep up the word wizardry!
We have raised a grand total of £230.63 today at the Upper School. Thank you for your support.
Have a great weekend.
