What a poignant and emotional start to our Friday! Violet Class treated the rest of KS1 and parents/carers to a very informative and special assembly this morning. The children spoke clearly and eloquently about why we wear poppies in November. They had learned some really beautiful poems and recited them confidently and audibly. There was barely a dry eye in the house as Violet Class so sensibly reminded us of the importance of remembering the brave soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. A very big thank you to Mrs Proctor, Ms Sompa and Ms Haynes for helping the children to produce such a polished performance this morning.
There was also a wonderful display of poppy and war related work that Violet Class have been doing.
Well done, Violet Class, we are so proud of you!
