CYP Lower – KS1 Sports Afternoon

This afternoon we enjoyed our Sports Afternoon for Year 1 and Year 2. We are so proud of all of our children for trying their best, supporting their team mates and behaving so beautifully. We definitely have some budding athletes in the making at Cypress! Children took part in a carousel of activities including jumping over hurdles, racing on space-hoppers, the classic egg and spoon race and hoola hooping to name a just a few.

Many thanks to the many parents, carers, grandparents, siblings and extended family members who joined us to cheer our children on. Their support was overwhelming and really encouraged every child to fully embrace each activity.

We finished the afternoon with mums’ and dads’ races and ice lollies for the children, kindly donated by Laura Good and Becca Marsh. Our finale was the Ladies Vs. Gents tug-of-war and a big well done to the ladies for winning!

Finally a HUGE thanks must go out to all of our amazing staff for their efforts towards Sports Day this year, with a special mention to Mrs Proctor for organising everything.
