+++ Next CCC ride Sunday 6th October +++
+++ Ride of the Falling Leaves +++
For the beginners there’s “stay in the park” to learn bike handling skills. The tennis courts provide a flat area to achieve the milestone of a child’s first independent pedal on a bike. Once your child can pedal their bike, they can practice on the grass nearby with soft landings when/if they fall.
Those children who can already ride will cycle with their accompanying adult to Crystal Palace Park and beyond to the Herne Hill Velodrome. This is a chance to ride a bit further than the local area and to see a bit of UK cycling heritage. There might even be a cafe stop.
You can attend for free. This is a social meetup for families to ride their bikes together. Make sure your bike is ready to use. We can go through some safety checks before we ride. Bring water and snacks. Also dress according to the weather. It could be sunny, wet, windy, cold or any combination. So, layers are good including a rain jacket and a cap. Chapeau!
Meet at 10am on Sunday 6th October next to the kiosk in South Norwood Lake Park.
C.C.C. you there!
