Dear parents and carers,
I hope this letter finds you all well.
Cherrystars provide award winning early years singing, dancing and drama classes and for the last decade we have run our exclusive weekend school at the BRIT School For Performing Arts in South London, the same venue that trained Adele, Amy Winehouse, Tom Holland, Jessie J, along with many other talented artists.
Cherrystars have recently won ‘Best Community Performing Arts School 2020’ in ‘The London Enterprise Awards’.
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 the BRIT School have cancelled all studio hires until (at the earliest) October half term.
In order for us to reopen in September and protect our local Cherrystars classes from closing permanently, we have made the decision to relocate temporarily to The Stanley Halls Performance and Arts Centre on South Norwood Hill.
Our exclusive, weekly, COVID secure performing arts classes for 4-7 year olds launch on Saturday the 12th September. Students have the opportunity of performing in fully costumed and choreographed mini musicals, which due to current restrictions we have reformatted as mini musical movies. During our first few terms together, we will work on a children’s production of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ that will be filmed on green screen with a socially distanced camera crew.
Not only will it be an exclusive and unique opportunity, but it will also provide a beautiful keepsake for parents and students.
You can find an example of our students film trailer on the press page on our website.
If children wish to pursue a career in the arts we also offer representation with our children’s talent agency (www.cherrystarsagency.com).
Places are limited, so in order to avoid going on to our waiting list, please book your child’s place as soon as possible on cherrystars.class4kids.co.uk.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sharon Cherry Ballard
