PTFA Outer Space Summer Fair

Last Saturday the PTFA held the Outer Space Summer Fair which was truly out of this world!  It was hotter than the surface of Mars but that didn’t stop Cypress celebrating the summer in intergalactic style. The Woodlands were transformed into a Droid Treasure Hunt, Chewbacca and Ewok held a fabulous tombola whilst Rocket Racers sped along the field alongside planets and space ships that were created by our talented After School Clubs. Thanks to all our Talent Star Quest entrants as you were amazing and demonstrated how wonderful Cypress pupils are – from singers and dancers to guitarists, violinists, poets and magicians, everyone was a star.

We need to give a huge thank you to all the parents, carers, staff and pupils who volunteered – it couldn’t happen without you. Thank you for helping set up, set down and man the stalls in that searing heat – we are very grateful. An extra thank you to Tibor Mate for creating the amazing Rocket Racers, Miss T for the nearly life-sized shuttle she created, Steve Wyle for our moon entrance, Martina Praznovska for her epic nail painting session, Louise Machin for serving hotdogs for the final time and to Mel & Roland Ellison for running a 4 hr Deathstar BBQ in that sweltering heat. A final thank you to our PTFA member Fiona Griffith who massaged, viola’d, served, set up, cleared, and generally multi-tasked her way through her final Fair. The amount raised will be announced next week!
