This week, Year 5 went on a maths trip to St John’s Church in Upper Norwood, in order to explore the shapes that could be seen in and around the historical building.

This term, the Y5 children have been incredibly busy being immersed in the topic of rainforests.

Year 5 were extremely lucky today, as they spent it with our Cypress patron of reading: Margaret Bateson-Hill.

Last week, some very talented children from Y5 and Y6 attended a Swimming Gala and vowed everyone with their superb skills in the water!

Even though this is a very busy time for Santa, he made a special visit to Cypress during the class parties, as he’s heard how well the children have been getting on in their learning.

We had our last assembly of the year this morning and a huge aspect of it was the presentation of the Gold Awards, where it was so wonderful to hear how children across KS2 have been behaving positively in and out of class.

Yesterday, the upper site were feeling very festive, as we all had our Christmas lunch.

Last week, Larch class enabled all of us to travel back in time through the use of their amazing Tardis.

This week, we have been thinking about the importance of friendships and Sycamore class did a superb job of reminding us of what to do when our friendships do not run smoothly.
