Last week at Pegasus, all the children in Year 4 said a sad farewell to Corky Pigeon, a character from our recent literacy text ‘Krindlekrax’ by Philip Ridley. Notes were written and tied to helium balloons whilst toast and chocolate biscuits, Corky’s favourite snack, were shared around. On the other side of the pupil’s notes we printed a message with the school’s email address politely asking if people could let us know where they found our balloons. So far, we have received messages from Bexley, Sidcup and Dartford as well as two from France! Unbelievably, one message got over the channel and reached Caen in northern France, while another, received yesterday, got as far as Angers near the west coast. We are sure Corky would have considered this a suitable send off!
